About the Role Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Information Security Analyst to join their security operations center (SOC) in Welkom . You will support the senior security team in monitoring security alerts, responding to incidents, and maintaining the integrity of IT systems. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience with various security tools and technologies, contributing to the overall security defense of the organization within a supportive and growing team. Key Responsibilities Monitor security alerts and logs using SIEM tools to detect potential threats. Assist in the investigation and triage of security incidents under the guidance of senior analysts. Perform initial analysis of malware and phishing attempts. Help maintain and update security documentation and procedures. Support the implementation of security patches and updates on systems. Participate in security awareness initiatives for employees. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles and concepts. Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network fundamentals. Basic understanding of security tools like firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus. Strong eagerness to learn and develop within the cybersecurity domain. Good communication and teamwork skills.
